Description

An extraordinary and deeply moving historical record, “Vukani Makhosikazi” gives a direct voice to working-class black South African women living under the oppressive weights of apartheid, capitalism, and sexism in the 1980s. Compiled from interviews, testimonies, and grassroots research by the Vukani Makhosikazi Collective, this book covers the lived realities of women facing struggles in housing, domestic work, family separation, and trade unions. A vital piece of social history for collectors, researchers, and political history enthusiasts.
